Fark.com reports that a group of people in San Francisco have started a petition to, well… I’ll quote them.
Kennedy had a stadium named after him. Reagan has an airport. Where will George W. Bush have his name emblazoned? In San Francisco, it looks like that honor will go to a sewage plant.
Of course, my understanding is that this is just something one group is proposing, versus a city initiative.
Matt,
It’s for real, a prank with a point. We’re organizing a ordinance initiative for the November ballot. If it passes with a simple majority, the Oceanside Wastewater Treatment Facility, a public facility, will be renamed the George W Bush Sewage Plant.
Best wishes.

There are a number of things named after George H W Bush. I keep wondering how people will keep track of which things are named after the father and which (if any) will be named after the son.
Considering the only thing these people have named after them is probably their email addresses, I guess Bush still ends up on top. 😉
