Besides the fact that those who know what they&#8217;re talking about seem to define <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Socialism\">Socialism<\/a> as more than &#8220;the government spending tax dollars to help people,&#8221; it always seemed that, if that&#8217;s what socialism is, we have plenty of it. Here are some things that I&#8217;m pretty sure could be argued to be to socialism:<\/p>\n<ul>\n    <li>Libraries<\/li>\n    <li>Fire departments<\/li>\n    <li>Police departments<\/li>\n    <li>Paramedics (and hospitals)<\/li>\n    <li>Public schools<\/li>\n    <li>The military<\/li>\n    <li>The Post Office<\/li>\n    <li>National parks<\/li>\n    <li>Student financial aid<\/li>\n    <li>Highways, bridges, subways<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>That&#8217;s just off the top of my head.
