(Though I&#8217;m actually not sure how this came to be.)<\/p>\n<p>So a few neat links. The first is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ok1rr.com\/news.php?item.63.1\">a yagi for 160 meters<\/a>. Antenna size is inversely proportional to frequency, and 160 meters is the lowest ham radio frequency out there. The notion of a 160 meter yagi is almost obscene. You can just barely make out that there are two people working in the antenna.<\/p>\n<p>There are also photos as a neat site called Artificial Owl of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.artificialowl.net\/2008\/12\/abandoned-giant-duga-3-system-antenna.html\">former Russian Woodpecker<\/a>, a Cold War-era &#8220;over-the-horizon radar&#8221; meant at detecting incoming missiles.
