Thought and Memory

with one comment

In the end, we are just creatures of memory and experiences. We define ourselves by what we’ve done and how we’ve felt.

There are some people who spend their whole lives trying to avoid experiences. Don’t end up like them. Live a little.

Try to always make today a pleasant day. Wouldn’t you rather remember it that way?

I’ll be working on my review of the Asus EEE sub-notebook over the next few days. It’s an ultraportable, low-cost laptop with an 800×480 screen, a 4GB solid-state disk, 512MB of RAM (I upgraded mine to 1GB), 802.11g, three USB 2.0 ports, VGA-out, and a 0.3MP webcam, along with standard issue microphone/stereo jacks, a built-in mic, and speakers. It comes with a Xandros-based Linux OS preinstalled; I’ve replaced mine with an nLited copy of Windows XP.

If anyone’s place of business allows them to get a license for Windows Fundamentals for Legacy PCs, I’d really appreciate it if you could pass one along!
I’m itching to streamline this OS down even more, and WinFLP is prefect for this circa-2001 hardware.
