For Sale: Fuji FinePix S5100
I’m selling my old camera, a Fujifilm FinePix S5100:
Features
- 4 megapixels
- Video capability
- Incredible zoom (10x)
- 1 GB storage card and reader included
Some Photos of the Camera
^ Shows the camera, box, and accessories. It includes a 1GB card, neck strap and lens cap (not pictured), USB cable (still not used: I just use the card reader) and a video cable to hook up to your camera.
^ The card reader will do the xD format that the camera uses, but also does a lot of other common formats like SD cards. You’ll note that the ink on the top is smudged. While in Africa, some bug spray spilled on the top. Who knew bug spray would dissolve ink?! It only got on the surface of the card reader, so it’s perfectly operational. (The camera was in a separate bag, so it was safe and sound.)
^ Top of the camera
^ 1GB xD card, included
^ Showing the rear screen. This shows how ridiculous the zoom is: the shot of the library was taken from my room in Falcone.
^ While going to format the card, I found this… It apparently does voice memos. I never knew it!

Condition & Price
It’s in pretty-darn-good condition because I’ve been obsessive about keeping it that way. The one problem is that the flash pops up rather easily, such as if you shake the camera or bang it down on a table. This doesn’t affect its performance, but it’s worth mentioning that it happens. You’re welcome to contact me and try the camera out before buying it. It takes 4 AA batteries, not included. (Battery life is pretty good at hundreds of shots per charge. You can use standard Energizers or whatever, though you’d do well to buy rechargeables.) I’m asking $150, which is a good deal considering that it includes the card reader and a 1GB xD card. E-mail me at wagner_matt@bentley.edu if you’re interested.
