While some in the GOP have been encouraging McCain to quit campaigning for President and focus on not letting Democrats get 60 seats, and on the heels of Alaska’s Senator Stevens being found guilty, others figured they could ensure a Republican victory most effectively by plotting to kill Obama. They missed their shot at a rally of 100,000 in Denver.
