Do you guys recall Obama’s “fist bump” with his wife when he clinched the nomination? It was a big hit with younger Obama fans.
It was not a big fan with E.D. Hill, a Fox News anchor who called it a “terrorist fist jab,” as I was just reading about. That’s not the real concern, though. I just rolled my eyes at that.
What really concerns me is the “news contributor” Liz Trotta who suggested that Obama should be assassinated.
Are you serious?! How the hell is that acceptable? Can you imagine how outaged everyone would be if a CNN anchor joked that someone should shoot McCain? It would be incredibly inappropriate.

The media reminds me of the nasty little kids who always try to get other kids to fight. I’m really discusted with a lot of the media and with a lot of politicos who fall into the same traps over and over again. Does anyone remember the Golden Rule anymore?

I wasn’t too bothered by the “terrorist fist jab,” partially because it’s just kind of an absurd statement, and partially because, as you say, she didn’t come out and directly call it that (though she sure did popularize it).
In fact, the “terrorist fist jab” wasn’t really what led to me to post at all, other than the fact that it caused me to noticed Trotta’s comments.
