Basically &lt;i&gt;all&lt;/i&gt; of the big guys let Akamai handle their networks, running a CDN, diverse DNS servers, etc. So it&#039;s not as if one Windows box somewhere &quot;is&quot; time.windows.com, but rather, it&#039;s probably spread across hundreds of POPs that Microsoft doesn&#039;t even manage.

So yeah, in actuality, it doesn&#039;t mean anything. It&#039;s just humorous to see time.windows.com getting its time from clock3.redhat.com.</description>
