Beta Interface is Up

If you hadn’t noticed, this page is pretty dull and doesn’t reflect the blog posts happening on multiple other pages.
This beta interface does, however. (It’s still got a lot of quirks, but it’s overdue as it is, so I’d rather have it quirky than keep it a ’secret’ project.)

Update

I’ve kind of neglected this site lately. I didn’t want to do much until I had everything running smoothly, but I never had the time to sit down and get it all working. I haven’t forgotten, I assure you.
In the mean time, there are three blogs here:

Mister T
n1zyy (me!)
Rusty (unused…)
Andrew (yay! That makes 4!)

Feel free [...]

Mr. Rogers

I came across an article online today, “15 Reasons Mister Rogers Was the Best Neighbor Ever,” and thought I’d share it with you. Did you know that he testified before Congress to defend public broadcasting, and apparently ended up convincing the committee, which had intended to slash funding, to actually raise funding. (I’m unable to [...]

News

Do you ever read the news and wonder if it’s all a big joke? It’s happening more and more often with me.

The US Government is fighting to keep meatpackers from checking more meat for mad cow

The US Government set up a news station in the Middle East, more or less for spewing our propaganda. So [...]

Political Issues

I’m not sure how many people are reading these right now, and I’m not yet sure if these posts will stay, but I’ll post this anyway…
I was thinking tonight, driving home, about two political issues that really bother me.
The first is abortion. I’ve had kind of mixed feelings about it, and still change my mind [...]

Conspiracy Theories

I was reading this, and left wondering a few things:

Why am I only finding this article on news sites I’ve never heard of? (It’s on the White House’s site, so it’s real.)
Assuming that there’s no wrongdoing here, why is this necessary? It sounds like it’s superceding another similar bill that requires Congressional oversight.
Why has the [...]

FOB

This is really more of a note to myself than anything, since I’m leaving in about 15 minutes, but here goes…
I think the most-recent-posts plugin (?) is what I need. (There’s a link to an updated one.) It looks like it only gets titles, though, rather than displaying actual posts, which is what I need. [...]

Games

When I play board games, I like to think about what’d happen if you changed the rules. For example:

Tic-Tac-Toe, played on a 2×2 grid, is utterly pointless.
Tic-Tac-Toe, played on a 4×4 grid, is not too fun. 3×3 is probably a better size.
What happens in Connect 4 if you allow each player to drop two pieces [...]

Interface Changes

I ‘tweaked’ the theme a bit, and wanted to plug a few things I like:

Users with the font Myriad Pro Light installed will find that the headers look very, very nice. I’m not 100% sure how I came to have this font, as it’s most popular on Macs, but, for those who have it, it’s [...]

Neat Stuff

For members: Click “Profile,” and then enable the Visual editor. It’s much nicer. And I’m one who usually writes HTML by hand.
Check out this article at SFGate, which answers the question “how come there are so many people out on the street all day, seemingly not working?”
Also check out this neat story, about a bizarre [...]
