So Kyle thinks I should write down my dreams, mostly because mine are very vivid so I remember them. (Or at least parts of them.)

This is my latest one:

I dreamt that Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson were still married, and ran a farm. I remember Jessica was nagging Nick to come inside, but he yelled back that he had to finish harvesting this corn. He was on a tractor at the time with this huge thing on the back that harvested corn.

The next thing I remember is Nick talking to these guys about how they told him he could pickle his vegetables, but when he dumped out his pickling barrels he found that have the veggies were rotten. (Everything except the eggplants at the top of the barrel.) He then proceeded to dump one of the barrels he had brought with him onto the floor spilling rotten veggies and nasty pickle juice everywhere!

What an odd dream! (Please note that I can’t stand Nick Lachey OR Jessica Simpson so the fact that they invade my dreams disturbs me!)

Our first geocaching adventure was a success! We managed to finally find the cache after learning that bug spray is an important part of geocaching!

But we found the cache! We were ready to give up, but I wanted to take one more look around. We had pinpointed the location to a small area, but just could not see it. I spotted it, and at first I didn’t even think it was the cache! (There was a lot of trash in the area.)

In the end we left a trackable tag for the next person to take, and I took a little clay cow who now resides on my desk.

Waltham History (Sort of):

Apparently, just down the road from us is an old tower. It is rumored to have been built by the Norse; however, the man who said this was a guy by the name of Prof. Eben Norton Horsford. He was a hobby archeologist, and apparently just as bad at it as his true profession- entomology. All the same the plaque on the base of the tower reads:

So truth be told, no one really knows whether the tower is from the vikings or not. But because I think it is cool that maybe they came to my town, I am willing to stretch my historical beliefs.

The fiance and I are always on the look out for cool new things to do, and we’ve found a great one that actually involves us going outside! (Shocking, I know!)

We just started doing Geocaching, which is essentially a global treasure hunting game. People have set up caches of various sizes all around the world with exact GPS coordinates. Some are more puzzle-like than others, but at the end of each is a container filled with a log book and perhaps some items from the travelers before you.

There are even trackable items, which can be registered at the geocaching site. This means that other people can take, and move this item around to the various caches. These items can might travel the world or stay in more local.

In order to geocache you simply need a device that will do GPS. (We are using our Windows Mobile phones, which sadly are not as accurate as a real GPS device.)

If you would like to learn more about Geocaching simply go to www.geocaching.com.

While browsing my favorite blogs/ news sites, I came across this awesome little find. It’s a periodic coffee table of elements. Let me clarify a little. It is a coffee table with a periodic table of elements built inside. There are even samples of all the elements. (Yes, even the toxic ones.)

The display looks pretty nice in my opinion, and the concept is cool. The downside? A) Only someone bordering on no sex and/or social life would own one and B) it’s $9,500.

You can find one/ order one here.

Washing Shopping Carts

I hate germs. I’m sort of a germ freak in away. (Especially dairy products and publicly used items.) So, when I saw this I thought it was a great idea! It’s a grocery cart washing system that uses a peroxide to kill 99% of germs while drying almost instantly. This idea is brought to us by PureCart Systems.

Even if a store is only washing its carts once a month it is still better than the average cart cleaning of never. Cool? I think so!

I have a very serious fear of being burned by my toaster/ toasted foods. I have procured quite a few burns in my life. Most of them from the toaster/ toaster oven. So when I saw this product I gave a little gasp of joy.

This toaster is made by Hammacher Schlemmer, and instead of the toast popping up out of the top, like most toasters, it slides out of the bottom onto the little trap door. (Or if you choose, your plate!) I thought this was a brilliant solution to a problem that has plagued me. The only bad thing? This toaster will run you about $80, which seems a tad high for toasters in my opinion.

Side Note:

As a side note: Dinosaurs live!

As anyone who knows me knows, I adore highly user-friendly products. I believe something can be said for a product that anyone can pick up, and use. (By use, I mean use well.)

So when I stumbled upon this little gem I was pleasently surprised.

First off I should say that I don’t drink alcohol. I take a few medications, and the combination never produces anything good for me. (Also, I’m Asian, and suffer from the “Asian flush.”) So, I can’t say if their product is actually worth drinking, but the concept is neat.

Wine That Loves is a sub-group of a company that produces only five wines. Each wine is especially designed to go with a specific food type. For example: the wine called, “Wine that Loves Roasted Chicken” goes well with, guess what, roasted chicken.

What I think is so great about this is not only does the bottle explain why the wine goes well with meal, but also allows the user to taste the wine. Since people all taste differently newcomers to wine will start to taste what characteristics to look for.

Again, I haven’t actually tried their wines, so I cannot say if they are any good, but a cool introductory concept that I would be willing to try. (If I drank…)
