The fiance and I are always on the look out for cool new things to do, and we’ve found a great one that actually involves us going outside! (Shocking, I know!)

We just started doing Geocaching, which is essentially a global treasure hunting game. People have set up caches of various sizes all around the world with exact GPS coordinates. Some are more puzzle-like than others, but at the end of each is a container filled with a log book and perhaps some items from the travelers before you.

There are even trackable items, which can be registered at the geocaching site. This means that other people can take, and move this item around to the various caches. These items can might travel the world or stay in more local.

In order to geocache you simply need a device that will do GPS. (We are using our Windows Mobile phones, which sadly are not as accurate as a real GPS device.)
