This may seem a tad silly, but I feel it is quite ingenious.

I have a very serious fear of being burned by my toaster/ toasted foods. I have procured quite a few burns in my life. Most of them from the toaster/ toaster oven. So when I saw this product I gave a little gasp of joy.

This toaster is made by Hammacher Schlemmer, and instead of the toast popping up out of the top, like most toasters, it slides out of the bottom onto the little trap door. (Or if you choose, your plate!) I thought this was a brilliant solution to a problem that has plagued me. The only bad thing? This toaster will run you about $80, which seems a tad high for toasters in my opinion.
