Beta Interface is Up

If you hadn’t noticed, this page is pretty dull and doesn’t reflect the blog posts happening on multiple other pages. This beta interface does, however. (It’s still got a lot of quirks, but it’s overdue as it is, so I’d rather have it quirky than keep it a ‘secret’ project.)

Update

I’ve kind of neglected this site lately. I didn’t want to do much until I had everything running smoothly, but I never had the time to sit down and get it all working. I haven’t forgotten, I assure you. In the mean time, there are three blogs here: Mister T n1zyy (me!) Rusty (unused…) Andrew [...]

Mr. Rogers

I came across an article online today, “15 Reasons Mister Rogers Was the Best Neighbor Ever,” and thought I’d share it with you. Did you know that he testified before Congress to defend public broadcasting, and apparently ended up convincing the committee, which had intended to slash funding, to actually raise funding. (I’m unable to [...]

News

Do you ever read the news and wonder if it’s all a big joke? It’s happening more and more often with me. The US Government is fighting to keep meatpackers from checking more meat for mad cow The US Government set up a news station in the Middle East, more or less for spewing our [...]

Political Issues

I’m not sure how many people are reading these right now, and I’m not yet sure if these posts will stay, but I’ll post this anyway… I was thinking tonight, driving home, about two political issues that really bother me. The first is abortion. I’ve had kind of mixed feelings about it, and still change [...]

Interface Changes

I ‘tweaked’ the theme a bit, and wanted to plug a few things I like: Users with the font Myriad Pro Light installed will find that the headers look very, very nice. I’m not 100% sure how I came to have this font, as it’s most popular on Macs, but, for those who have it, [...]

Password-protecting

Since I can’t comment, I’ll post it here: to view (or comment on) a password-protected post, we need to know the password with which it was published, not our password. Ergo, unless we know your password, we’re left wondering what you said. (Unless we have root access to the database, in which case we could [...]

Food for Thought

In addition to working a lot, trying to embark on a major cleaning process, and setting up the blogs, I’ve been reading a bit. I’m currently reading Confessions of an Economic Hitman, which, so far, is a really good book. I’ve started using those little Post-It flags to mark interesting parts. I want to share [...]

Here’s the Deal

I’ve now got WordPress up and running semi-smoothly, but I’m not that familiar with its inner workings yet. I don’t believe I can automatically recreate a list of users. If you had an existing account, e-mail me (mwaggy using Google’s gmail.com) and I’ll set you up with an account. It looks like users can create [...]

fp

This is a grand experiment. As you probably noticed, the blogs went down early this week. I’m working on bringing them back, but running WordPress. I should be able to import old posts and use them here, and we’ll have less gaping bugs. Right now DNS is extremely screwy, and this is all there is [...]
