Jack & Jill

Not too long ago I was dragged into trying out Twitter. It’s interesting — like a glorified Facebook status; I’m sure they cringe every time someone makes that comparison — but I didn’t really catch on to it.

Now I’ve decided to give Tumblr a try. So far, I like it: it has the main component of Twitter — quick, short blogish entries — but also lets you easily post pictures, videos, quotes, chat transcripts, etc. The icing on the cake would have been posting code snippets complete with syntax highlighting. Ah, one can dream.

I never got Twitter. (Some guy somewhere basically chronicled his diarrhea spanning a couple of days on Twitter, which I thought pretty aptly summed the site up.)

Tumblr, though, I liked, but I never used it with a “better” blog here.

I like the simplicity of Tumblr for certain things. If I’m writing a long entry, WordPress is great. For throwing up a collection of the random things I happen across in a day, Tumblr seems like a good fit.

Now to build my own with syntax highlighting. 😉

I like Twitter and use it quite a bit. Been blogging about it http://act2.spaces.live.com/blog/cns!9A87F3A86CB0AA3E!2479.entry and http://act2.spaces.live.com/blog/cns!9A87F3A86CB0AA3E!2451.entry

I think a lot depends on who you follow. I follow some interesting people. 🙂
